Although there’s no action on the ice right now, there’s no stopping the Sheffield Steelers as they prepare for the delayed Elite Ice Hockey League season to commence.
The Steelers are stepping up their preparations for the new 2020/21 season by announcing the return of key players including Marco Vallerand, Brendan Connolly and Marek Troncinsky. A brand-new ice plant has also been installed at the FlyDSA Sheffield Arena, ready for the Steelers to defend their Challenge Cup title once play gets underway.
With the ongoing situation we still do not have an official start date for the opening fixtures, but latest updates from Sheffield Steelers owner and EIHL chairman Tony Smith suggests early 2021 is realistic, subject to government guidelines.
DBT members will be kept informed of developments along the way, as your support is always appreciated, and the Steelers look forward to welcoming you all to the house of Steel as soon as it is safe to do so.
Once the safety of crowds is confirmed, DBT members can look forward to more fantastic offers on match-day tickets.
